Winter Warmth

In partnership with Friendship Place, area congregations host a one-day “Winter Warmth Store” Sunday, December 3 when homeless men and women can “shop” for warm winter clothing and enjoy a hot meal. The event will be held from 2 – 5 pm at Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street NW, Washington, DC.

Donations of new or gently used coats, scarves, gloves, and other warm clothing in adult sizes, particularly larger sizes, are sought. (No bikinis, ball gowns, etc., and no children’s clothes, please.)

There will be a collection bin in the Foyer of the Metropolitan Campus and at the rear of the Wesley Sanctuary from November 19 – 30. Donations can also be dropped at Washington Hebrew during business hours the week of Nov 27 – Dec 1.

New boots and socks can be donated and shipped directly to Washington Hebrew through this Amazon Wish List.
