Weddings

National UMC and our pastoral team are honored to be part of your special day.

The building use fee for weddings for non-members is $3,000 and $1,500 for members. This fee includes the use of the Sanctuary, a room for both wedding parties, and the services of a building staff person for both the rehearsal and the ceremony.

Weddings are usually officiated by one of NUMC’s clergy, and you are welcome to request any particular member of the clergy team. Arrangements may be made for outside clergy to perform the ceremony, however, they must be approved by our Senior Pastor in advance.

To ensure that the commitments inherent in marriage are as strong as possible, couples being married at National UMC are required to undergo marriage counseling. Premarital counseling is provided by NUMC’s clergy, but it can be done elsewhere with their approval.

The fee for clergy officiating a wedding for non-members is $750. An honorarium for clergy is strongly encouraged for members of the congregation. Organist or other musicians can be arranged at an additional fee. Please contact the office for these logistics.

A deposit of $1,500 for non-members, and $750 for members, will confirm your wedding date. The balance is due thirty days prior to the wedding.

To start discussions around arrangements please contact the church office to arrange your wedding here at National UMC.
