Debbie Hines, a trial lawyer, former Baltimore prosecutor, and Maryland Assistant Attorney General, provides an insider's tell-all account of what’s broken with the U.S.

criminal justice system and the staggering racial inequities in the prosecutorial system. Disillusioned by what she saw in her decades of courtroom experiences, personal family experiences, and research, she wrote Get Off My Neck to provide a blueprint for meaningful reform and to light a path for a more just and equitable future.

This book talk will discuss ways to be an effective ally and activist.
