National United Methodist Church to Participate in Pride Parade

The Parade on June 8 is approaching fast!

For more than a decade United Methodists have had a presence at the Pride Parade..  National UMC is walking with 20+ congregations in DC, the Montogomery County suburbs, and the norther Virginia suburbs.  At least 200(!) people representing United Methodist Churches big and small walked last year.  We start with Communion at 2:30 PM for all folks in the area (a very Methodist thing to do, indeed) and proceed celebrate the love of God on the parade path.  With the dismantling of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation at the General Conference, we will demonstrate the actions of the denomination, as well as our love..   It is a great opportunity to meet your fellow participants from other UMCs.   The cheering crowds will be the best thing that happens to you that week.
